We’re a family of 4 humans and 6 dogs living a frazzled and busy life near Buffalo, NY. We love to travel but there never seems to be enough time or money. Suddenly we realized the kids are getting older and it feels like time is running out. In reality, we don’t choose the day we come into or the day we leave this earth, only the days in between so we must make the most of them.
The name of the blog comes from the Hodding Carter quote:
“There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots; the other, wings.”
In addition to these, I hope to give my children MEMORIES – deeply cherished and forever in their hearts so no matter how far they roam, they will always have a piece of home.
The mom in this story loves planning and researching trips and finding fun and unique things to see and do, while keeping everyone happy and enthralled (HA!). Even when traveling, she’s likely already planning the next trip in her head! This blog will be used to document some of her favorite tips for traveling with kids, shout outs to great places we’ve been to, and tips for researching your next trip. We’d love to hear from you and really appreciate you stopping by! Bon voyage!
